14 more hours

My brain is hurting because I'm so tired but I'm convinced that if I don't sleep now, I will on the 28 hour flight I have to endure tomorrow.

So I'm sitting around, too tired to actually do anything

OH Tonight we had our final farewell feed/Valentines day dinner with Melanie and Pia. It was super and so nice to spend our last night here with them reminiscing the good old days.

We're really going to miss Oslo.

loooooking forward

I arrive home to stinking hot Brisbane on Thursday and so have compiled a list of the things I'm looking forward to when I get there

1. Seeing these kids

-Meeting this cat

-seeing those beautiful ears

2. Beaaaaaaach

3. NOT having to wear a million layers

4. Not having to skype people to see them

5. Ripping up the streets with this hardcore

6. SNL SNL SNL SNL SNL SNL SNL

7. Rockpools

-Sophie's butt, yep, looking forward to seeing it

Oh man

I'm suuuper excited to be going home and thought I was arriving on Wednesday...

I had just forwarded my itinerary and excitement to mother when I got an email from Lily saying I should check my itinerary because she leaves Germany at the same time as me but gets home on Thursday. My mental response was 'you fool Lily, I've been waiting five months for this, as if I'd get it wrong, my itinerary clearly says, departing Singapore February 16'

I was later talking to Al who asked how many hours it was until my flight when I replied 43 we slowly started realising that I didn't arrive on Wednesday but Thursday.

In a mad panic attack I ran into the kitchen waving my itinerary yelling, asking Luani and Melanie if it said I arrived on the Thursday, it did. So I called Dad, told him and then sunk into a pit of self pity.

So this was my special Valentines day surprise for Alex, I hope he liked it as much as last years surprise... Gets better every year Al!

Story of the day

Alex:

I was in the pool yesterday and there was this lizard on the rocks outside which was kind of cool, buuut he jumped in the pool.. and i have a hard time sharing the pool with the creepy crawly so you can imagine i was none to please with a lizard swimming around

anyway so I ran inside and tried to find some goggles and when i came back i swam down near him to say hi, buuut it got angry and started swimming toward me! probably the most scariest moment in my life

ps - the lizard was the size of my small finger BUT he was still scary nonetheless
